How to Set Up An Ergonomic Workspace at Home

  • Ergonomic Desk

The desk should be such that you should be able to sit and work comfortably. Your legs or knees should not bang against the desk. In addition to that, it is important that the height of the desk should be such that the center of the screen should be in front of your eyes. And also the placement of the keyboard and mouse should be such that the elbow remains straight while working.

  • Ergonomic Screen Placement

The laptops are the most common forms of the screen these days, owing to their ease of portability. However, as the keyboard is attached to the screen in the laptop, the ergonomic placement of the laptop becomes difficult. But there is a solution to it as well. You can always use a laptop stand that will adjust the height at which the laptop screen is placed.

  • Ergonomic Keyboard Placement

The keyboard as well as the mouse should be placed such that both are at your elbow height. Preferably the keyboard and mouse should be flat or having a negative tilt so that it doesn’t put strain onto your wrist.

  • Ergonomic Office Chair

Owning an office chair, to be specific, a leather executive chair is a dream in itself. But buying an office chair is tricky to the large extent. The office chair should be made of breathable material and should be ergonomic, thereby keeping your spine in a neutral position.

  • Ergonomic Foot Rest

Keeping your feet at rest while working is equally important, for which having a footrest should not be ignored. Either you can have the footrest incorporated into the desk design itself or buy it individually.
